Star singer, Tiwa Savage, still believes it is possible for her to find real love.
She was married to Teebillz (Tunji Balogun) with whom she has a son.
In terms of marriage, however, hers has not been as smooth as those of the likes of, say, Joke Silva and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, whose unions have been models of some kind.
Rather, her experience evokes those of Onyeka Onwenu, Ini Edo etc.
But even as she announces the coming of another mega album, ‘Water and Garri’, she has expressed the hope that she can still get an ideal love.
Speaking on Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music, she noted, “When I heard the instrumental, it felt soft and light, and had an old school vibe. So, I wanted a record that felt good. However, it is a love song. Tales by Moonlight was a popular programme when I was growing up in Nigeria. (In it, the anchor would tell stories to children).
“It’s basically about me saying I want a fairy tale type of love. I don’t want to lose hope in finding real love. I still believe in that. No matter how many times I’ve been heartbroken, I am still a sucker for love. I still believe there’s that fairy-tale Cinderella ending.”
She invested so much in the new album that she features giants such as Brady, Rich King and Nas.
