Olayomi Koiki, Media aide of Yoruba nation agaitator, Sunday Igboho, has said that his boss did not ask the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdurasheed Akanbi, to beg President Muhammadu Buhari on his behalf.
Besides, Koiki said, Igboho was still committed to the agitation.
He said this to contradict a letter that the Oluwo sent to Buhari on Saturday, asking that Igboho be pardoned.
The Directorate of Security Service had invaded Igboho’s house in Ibadan, killing two people during what it called a gun duel.
It also arrested 13 people and seized arms ammunition.
While the Oluwo said Igboho had a cause but pursued it with a falty style, Koiki noted that his boss had not met nor discussed anything with the monarch.
He said a photo being circulated, in which Igboho prostrates before the king, was taken in 2018 when he visited the Oluwo.
