A man who claimed to be a graduate of Psychology from the Delta State University, Akpoviri Vincent Jimmy, has been arrested for allegedly claiming to be a licensed medical doctor.
He was caught seeking medical jobs in Bayelsa State, according to the police.
The 49-year-old was said to have noted that he learnt medical practice when he served as a P.A. to a doctor.
Bayelsa police spokesperson Asinim Buswat said the suspect claimed to be one Dr. Charles Umeh, a serving medical doctor in Taraba state before being busted.
The policeman said Jimmy, however, created suspicion when he failed to know the correct terminologies a qualified medical doctor should know and use.
Upon being questioned by newsmen, Jimmy revealed that he is a graduate of Psychology from Delta State University. He said he has some knowledge of medicine which was why he carried out such activities using the credentials of his friend, Dr Charles Umeh without his knowledge.
