Eddy Olafeso speaks as Arapaja wins heated PDP zonal election

The candidate backed by former Governor Ayodele Fayose in the South West’s Peoples Democratic Vice Chairman election, Eddy Olafeso, has spoken on hisnloss to the Seyi Makinde-bacekd Taofeek Arapaja.

The election became heated when Fayose and Makinde locked horns in supremeacy battle.

But at the end, Arapaja won with 343 votes, as against Olafeso’s 313.

Reacting, the latter declared his continued loyalty to the party and support for Arapaja.
He said, “The storm is over; there is a new beginning for our party. We have to thank God that despite odds, there is a new beginning for our party. The time is now. I thank everybody who supported me,” Olafeso said.

Also speaking, the Vice Chairman elect, Arapaja, promised to reposition the party.

“We thank Governor Seyi Makinde and former governor Fayose. We will work together and move the party forward. We want to reposition the party. I will work with my brother Olafeso to achieve our aims.”
