About a month after Nollywood lost broadcaster and actor, Dadiq Daba, to the cold hand of death, another veteran screen great has departed.
He was Bruno Iwuoha, who died on Saturday April 10, following a prolonged battle with diabetes.
He was 68, with his name reminding pundits of another Nollywood legend, Peter Bruno, who also passed away a few years ago.
Besides, the industry recently lost prolific director, Chico Ejiro, and another younger actor, Earnest Asuzu.
A statement signed by the Director of Communications, Actors Guild of Nigeria, Monalisa Chinda Coker, confirmed Iwuoha’s death.
It read, “It is on a sad note that we announce the passing away of our elder colleague and active member of AGN Abuja, Bruno Obinna Iwuoha.
“He died in the early hours of this morning (10/04/2021) after a prolonged battle with diabetes.
“Bruno Iwuoha hails from Ehime Mbano Local Government Area in Umunumo Umuanunu kindred, Imo state. He was aged 68 years, survived by his wife and six children.”
The National President, Actors Guild of Nigeria, Ejezie Emeka Rollas, said on behalf of the entire members of the Guild, he commiserates with the immediate family members, friends and fans.
