Kwara State Governor-elect, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has urged Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of selflessness, sacrifice and commitment as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
Abdulrazaq made the call in his congratulatory message to Christians on the Easter celebration by his Media Aide, Rafiu Ajakaye in Ilorin on Thursday.
He said that the period of lent had significant lessons for the Christians and indeed all Nigerians.
“I, therefore, call on Nigerians, especially Kwarans to reflect on the lessons of Easter and translate same to everyday event in our lives.
“I call on Nigerians to be their brother’s keepers and to relate with one another on the basis of common brotherhood, love and generosity” the governor-elect added.
Abdulrazaq urged everyone to also strive to bequeath a legacy of peace and selflessness to the coming generations as Jesus Christ did.
“Let all of us be the change we want to see in our world. Let us come together for the common good.
“Let us show kindness, and shun crimes and violence,” Abdulrazaq said.
