President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, peaceful coexistence, and mutual understanding regardless of ethnic, religious, or cultural backgrounds.
Tinubu made the appeal on Sunday in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, while hosting members of his delegation to a dinner. He expressed optimism that Nigeria’s diversity, combined with its rich human and natural resources, would serve as a catalyst for inclusive national growth and prosperity.
“May Almighty Allah bless Nigeria and convert our diversity into prosperity as a country,” Tinubu said, seeking divine protection and wisdom for Nigerian leaders and citizens at home and abroad.
Speaking at the event, Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, commended the President’s leadership and pledged the continued support and prayers of state governors toward the administration’s developmental goals.
Chairman of BUA Group, Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu, also reaffirmed the private sector’s support for the government’s economic initiatives, describing Tinubu as deeply passionate about national progress.
The gathering was attended by several state governors—including Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), Uba Sani (Kaduna), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Ahmed Aliyu (Sokoto), and Babagana Zulum (Borno)—alongside the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), and Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
