Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Denmark, with emphasis on climate action, peace and security, and sustainable development.
Nigeria’s Ambassador to Denmark, Lola Akande, stated this after presenting her Letters of Credence to King Frederik X at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen, formally commencing her diplomatic engagement with the country.
Akande expressed Nigeria’s readiness to work with the Danish government, private sector and other stakeholders to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
She also commended the Danish monarch for his longstanding commitment to global sustainability and climate stewardship.
The ambassador, who also represents Nigeria in Sweden, Norway and Finland, conveyed President Bola Tinubu’s greetings and best wishes to the King, the Danish Royal Family, and the government and people of Denmark.
