Although Premier League Champions, Arsenal, came from a goal down to defeat Leeds United 2-1 at the Emirates, the Gunners’ manager Mikel Arteta is not hiding his respect for the losers.
According to him, Leeds ”are extremely well organised”.
Leeds United frustrated champions Arsenal during the first 45 minutes with stifling defending and took the lead 10 minutes after the break, but goals from Riccardo Calafiori and Bruno Guimareas gave Arsenal all three points.
Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta, praised Leeds United for their performance.
“They are extremely well-organised, they are very physical, they are committed in everything that they do,” he said.
Arteta added that Leeds United are a threats especially when you don’t take your chances against them.
“When you don’t finish the actions, and we hit some great areas in the first half to have much more end product than we did, and we lost the ball just before the last action, and when that happens and they had moments to run, they are a threat,” Arteta explained.
