A 26-year-old man, Seyi Adekeye, on Tuesday appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan over an alleged attempt to commit felony.
Adekeye, whose address was not provided, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, ASP Olagoke Adegbenro, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Oct. 1 at about 5:44 a.m. at Ologuneru, Ibadan.
Adegbenro alleged that Adekeye attempted to commit felony while armed with a cutlass and intending to steal at Freedom Estate, Ologuneru.
He said the offence contravened Section 509 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Olasinmibo Sanusi, granted Adekeye bail of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She ordered that the sureties must be blood relations of the defendant and adjourned the case until Oct. 20 for mention.
