Spanish head coach Luis de la Fuente has officially signed a six year contract extension binding him to La Roja until July 2032.
RFEF President Rafael Louzán announced the deal following unanimous board approval at the Las Rozas training complex in Madrid.
Since taking over in December 2022 following Luis Enrique’s departure, De la Fuente has led Spain to a historic treble—winning the 2023 UEFA Nations League, Euro 2024, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Spain currently boasts a 39-game unbeaten streak in official matches under his leadership, maintaining a 76% win rate (38 wins in 50 matches).
Before taking the senior team, he spent a decade in Spain’s youth system, winning the U-19 Euros, U-21 Euros, and an Olympic Silver medal in Tokyo 2020.
