Media personality Tomama, popularly known as Dat Warri Girl, has criticised people who accuse women of prostitution when they cannot determine the source of their wealth.
She said women engage in various activities to make money, including criminal activities such as kidnapping, money laundering, robbery and drug trafficking.
According to her, however, people often assume that women cannot make money through other means and resort to attributing their wealth to prostitution.
She said, “When some of you can’t figure out a woman’s source of income, you’ll just accuse her of prostitution.”
“Women are committing better crimes and you people are reducing them to just prostitution,” she added.
Tomama further said society does not “rate” women, which she described as one reason people are quick to accuse wealthy women of prostitution.
Her comments followed a statement by content creator Kemi Ikuseedun, popularly known as Mummy Wa, during a podcast, where she alleged that many women in the entertainment industry are involved in prostitution.
