N Seven Nigeria Limited has deepened its position in Guinness Nigeria Plc, acquiring 550,092 ordinary shares on the Nigerian Exchange Limited in a move that signals continued confidence among core investors in the brewer.

A regulatory filing on the NGX showed the purchases were executed across multiple price points ranging from N356.40 to N384.80 per share, with the entire transaction settling at a volume-weighted average price of N367.40.

Based on this average, the deal is valued at approximately N202.1 million.

The transactions were structured across varying lot sizes.

The largest single block involved 498,973 units bought at N384.80 per share, while the smallest was a five-unit purchase at N359.

Other tranches included 30,000 shares at N375, alongside smaller purchases at N356.60, N357, N362.80, N365.90 and N374 per share.

Insider buying of this nature is often read by the market as a vote of confidence in a company’s outlook.

For Guinness Nigeria, which operates in a competitive beverage landscape, the increased stake by a key shareholder could signal conviction about the brewer’s long-term prospects.
