Lamine Yamal has shared his thoughts on who should win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
In an interview with Movistar, the 19-year-old Barcelona star said that he and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé are the top two players in football right now. But he feels his trophies this year give him the clear edge.
Yamal made his point clearly:
”For me, Kylian Mbappé and I are the best two players, and anyone who watches the matches knows that… but I think I deserve it this year because of what I’ve won.”
The 2026 Ballon d’Or winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on October 26.
