Property worth N50 million was destroyed in a fire outbreak at Spring Valley Estate, Oranmiyan, beside the Arts and Culture Centre, Osogbo.
The fire incident occurred on Sunday evening, with the emergency call received by the Federal Fire Service, Osun Command, at about 5:38 p.m.
Preliminary investigations indicated that an electrical surge was suspected to have caused the fire.
On arrival at the scene, firefighters found that the fire was confined to the kitchen and basement of a five-bedroom duplex used for residential purposes.
The fire was brought under control with support from the Osun Fire Service, and no casualty was recorded.
The Federal Fire Service said property estimated at N200 million was saved from the inferno.
