Real Madrid’s new signing Carlos Espí has been the standout acquisition under the Mourinho era.
The 21-year-old arrived at Real Madrid from Levante U.D. during the summer 2026 transfer window.
During his three seasons with Levante, he made 66 appearances and scored 20 goals.
He has already scored 2 dramatic stoppage-time match-winners under José Mourinho:
He scored in the 90+1st minute on his debut to snatch a 2-1 victory against RCD Espanyol.
He also scored in the 91st minute to seal a 3-2 win over Elche after Real Madrid let a two-goal lead slip.
Additionally, he had an 87th-minute bicycle kick against Real Betis on September 4, 2026, that would have been another late winner, but it was unfortunately overturned by VAR.
Espí might just be the new star under Mourinho as he continues to help Real Madrid secure vital points.
