Waje celebrates 45th birthday with first look at ‘The Four’

Abuja, Sept. 1, 2026 (NAN) Veteran Nigerian singer Atiwaje Iruobe, popularly known as Waje, has celebrated her 45th birthday by sharing a first look at the upcoming movie ‘The Four’.
The ace artiste shared the first glimpse in a post on her verified Instagram account, @officialwaje, on Tuesday.
In the post, Waje described sharing the first glimpse of the movie as a beautiful way to celebrate her birthday, while expressing gratitude for opportunities to express her creativity.
She wrote: “It’s my birthday today, and sharing this first glimpse of ‘The Four’ with you feels like a pretty beautiful way to celebrate.
“Different faces, different stories, different battles.
“Every face has a story. Every moment means something, and this is only the beginning.
“I’m grateful for every opportunity to express my creativity. God deposited so much in me and this New Year that just started today is already blowing my mind!!!
“Don’t worry, my darling friends turned family, I’m taking you with me.
“THE FOUR in cinemas December 11.”
NAN reports that “The Four“: No One Fights Alone’ is a forthcoming feature film produced by Funke Akindele Network (FAAN TV) and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment.
The movie, set to hit cinemas globally on Dec. 11, features Funke Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Waje and other Nollywood actors.
‘The Four’ is a drama centred on friendship, motherhood, resilience and the strength of ordinary women, with its story moving between the Odu community and the city.
NAN reports that Waje, born on Sept. 1, 1980, in Akure, Ondo State, is a singer and songwriter known for her powerful vocals and contributions to the Nigerian music industry.
She gained recognition after featuring on P-Square’s ‘Omoge Mi’ and later appeared on the duo’s 2008 hit song ‘Do Me’, as well as Banky W’s ‘Thief My Kele’ and M.I’s ‘One Naira’.
Waje also expanded her career into acting, appearing in the 2014 film ‘Tunnel’ and later featuring in the Africa Magic television production ‘Battleground’.
In 2016, she served as one of the coaches on the inaugural season of ‘The Voice Nigeria’, which premiered in April 2016, further establishing her presence beyond music.
