The Oyo State chapter of the African Action Congress (AAC) has unveiled Chief Saheed Oladele as its candidate for the 2027 governorship election, with Mrs Damola Jaye as his running mate.
The party’s Publicity Secretary, Mr Ismail Olalekan, disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Ibadan.
Olalekan said Oladele’s emergence followed internal processes and consultations within the party and with stakeholders in Oyo State.
He said the candidacy reflected the party’s position that Oladele understood the aspirations of ordinary residents of the state and was prepared to advance its principles.
The AAC publicity secretary described Oladele as a selfless leader whose candidacy represented a much-awaited homecoming.
He also described him as a committed Nigerian, people-focused leader and educationist with achievements in youth development and public affairs.
According to him, Oladele and Jaye represented an electoral platform focused on addressing poverty, educational challenges and other issues confronting Oyo State.
