Manchester City have signed Argentina goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli from Marseille for £1.7m on a two-year contract.
The 34-year-old returns to City to serve as backup to first-choice goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
He Costs £1.7m from Marseille on a deal through 2028. Rulli Replaces James Trafford, who left City for Leeds United in a £45m deal.
Previously signed for City in 2016 without making an appearance. He also played for Villarreal, Ajax, Real Sociedad, and Montpellier.
He Won the 2022 World Cup and 2024 Copa América with Argentina. He famously scored a penalty and saved David de Gea’s spot-kick to win the 2021 Europa League final for Villarreal against Manchester United.
City land an experienced, trophy-winning backup goalkeeper on a cheap deal to cover for Donnarumma this season.
