Barcelona have reached a full agreement with Manchester City to sign Rodri, with sport journalist Fabrizio Romano officially giving the transfer his iconic “HERE WE GO!” green light.
After seeing initial bids turned down, Manchester City accepted Barcelona’s improved offer. The total transfer package is worth up to €76.5m, with Barça paying €60m in guaranteed fees plus add-ons to secure the Spanish midfielder.
Rodri will sign a contract keeping him at Spotify Camp Nou until June 2030. A direct phone call from Hansi Flick was key in convincing Rodri to choose Barcelona over Real Madrid.
