As afrobeats superstar Davido reveals he spends up to $300,000 per month on personal expenses, tongues have begun to wag about his finances.

The size of the money has sparked a debate especially online, with some saying it sounds outrageous.
Others yet argue that everyone is at liberty to spend their money as they choose.
Interestingly, Davido’s announcement came days after the First Lady, Remi Tinubu, urged the artiste and other rich celebrities to do more for the people.
The award-winning singer made the disclosure during a recent livestream with popular content creator Davrel, where he spoke candidly about the financial demands of fame.
According to him, his monthly expenses vary depending on where he is.
He explained that he spends significantly less in the United States, where he lives a quieter life with his wife, Chioma, and their children.
“I actually spend less in Yankee because I live with just me, my wife and my kids.”
“When I’m around, I spend a lot more. We are balling every day.”
Asked to estimate how much he spends in a typical month, Davido said the amount usually falls between $200,000 and $300,000, roughly ₦300 million to ₦400 million, depending on the exchange rate.
“I can’t tell you how much, but I can tell you like 300. Normally, probably like 200 to 300k.”
“I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month, and that doesn’t even include my wife’s expenses or the rest of my household. It also doesn’t include expenses for the purchase of luxury cars and jewellery.”
