Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, has appointed the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Nureni Adeniran, as his presidential campaign coordinator in Oyo State.
A statement issued on Wednesday in Ibadan by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Suleimon Olanrewaju, said Adeniran would also serve as the Director-General of the APM Governorship Campaign Council in the state.
The APM has nominated former Commissioner for Finance, Bimbo Adekanmbi, as its governorship candidate for the 2027 election.
According to the statement, Saheed Arowosaye, a former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, will serve as deputy presidential campaign coordinator, while the state’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Demola Ojo, will serve as Deputy Director-General (South).
The statement added that Makinde would inaugurate the campaign council on Friday at the conference room of the governor’s office in Ibadan.
