Legendary dramatist and scholar, Kola Oyewo, has bid the word bye.
The titan breathed his last on Friday, with his departure already drawing tributes from the film industry.
Among those who have mourned Oyewo, the protagonist of acclaimed movie, ‘Saworo Ide’, produced by Tunde Kelai, include Dele Odule, Kunde Afod and Bayo Bankole, aka Boy Alinco.
They saluted Oyewo as a successful and highly impactful actor, in various posts.
Confirming the passage, Afod wrote: “Tonight, we lost a true legend. Kola Oyewo has taken his final bow. His remarkable talent, timeless performances, and immense contributions to the Nigerian theatre and film industry will never be forgotten. His legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. Rest well, sir. Your work lives on. It’s a wrap.”
