A Jos Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday sentenced an 18-year-old miner, Felix Obed to 18 months imprisonment for stealing a fabricated iron door.
The convict pleaded guilty to the charge of conspiracy , trespass and theft filed against him by the police.
The Magistrate, Mrs Hannatu Ashom, sentenced the convict to 18months in prison with an option of N130, 000 fine.
Reviewing the facts, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp Ibrahim Gokwat told the court that the case was reported on April 28, at the “A” Diversion Police Station by Adekera Kuma , the complainant.
Gokwat said the convict conspired with his friend, Gabriel, at large and trespassed into the complainant facility and stole a fabricated iron door worth N55,000 .
He said the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 316 to 346 the Penal Code Law.
