Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has described the late Sarkin Hausawa of Ibadan, Alhaji Ali Zungeru, as a man of peace and dependable community leader.
The governor, in a statement issued in Ibadan on Tuesday by his Special Assistant on Print Media, Mr Moses Alao, said Zungeru’s death was a huge loss.
He stated that the late Sarkin Hausawa gave a good account of himself as a lover of peace and development during his lifetime.
Makinde condoled with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, the
Hausa community in the state and the immediate family of the deceased.
He prayed God to grant repose to the soul of the late Sarkin Hausawa.
