The Lagos State University (LASU) on Thursday, said it planned to strengthen institutional governance in 2026, aimed at enhancing leadership alignment and the school’s development.
The Deputy Registrar and Coordinator, Centre for Information and Public Relations, Mrs Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile, said this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
She said that the 13th Governing Council and Management of the institution would be meeting to discuss the next phase of development for the university.
“The 13th Governing Council and Management of LASU will convene a three-day strategic retreat aimed at strengthening institutional governance.
“The retreat is also aimed at enhancing leadership alignment, and articulating a clear roadmap for the University’s next phase of development,” she said.
She added that the retreat which would be held from Jan. 16 to Jan. 18 in Lagos, had the theme ‘Purposeful Governance: Charting a Strategic Roadmap for LASU’.
She said the retreat outcomes are expected to further strengthen institutional coherence, promote responsive governance, and position LASU for sustained growth in an increasingly competitive higher-education landscape.
