Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara on Monday launched the APC e-registration and membership revalidation exercise, becoming the first registered member in the state.
AbdulRazaq said the exercise would strengthen the party, ensure accurate data, and support planning, urging officials to register all willing members without exclusion.
“We must know our true strength. Everyone willing to join the APC should be registered,” the governor said.
He urged members to canvass new entrants using the party’s achievements at federal, state and local government levels.
AbdulRazaq said his administration had delivered visible projects across sectors, making Kwara more developed and economically viable.
He added that possession of a valid National Identification Number was mandatory for registration.
APC Chairman in Kwara, Mr Sunday Fagbemi, said the meeting assured members of transparency and fairness, stressing that no one would be marginalised.
Fagbemi praised the governor’s achievements in education, health and infrastructure, urging unity behind President Bola Tinubu and Governor AbdulRazaq.
Deputy Chief of Staff, Ms Bukola Babalola, called for collective effort to ensure the success of the exercise.
Chairman, Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, Mr Abdullateef Alakawa, said the registration would strengthen the party and translate into votes in 2027.
State e-registration coordinator, Mr Mubarak Bello, said registration would hold across three senatorial districts, with 579 agents in 193 wards, requiring valid NINs.
APC Elders’ Caucus Chairman, Mr Razaq Lawal, urged full mobilisation, describing AbdulRazaq as a reformer advancing Kwara’s development.
