Shooting Stars Sports Club defeated Enyimba FC 3-0 in the 2025/2026 NPFL Matchday 26 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, on Wednesday.
Luck Emmanuel opened scoring in the 16th minute, converting a penalty. “We stayed calm and took our chance,” Emmanuel said after the match.
Coach Nurudeen Aweroro reshaped his side in the 56th minute, introducing Alex Aghaowa and Joshua Akpan. “The changes gave us better balance,” he said.
Sodiq Ibrahim doubled the lead in the 80th minute after sustained pressure from the hosts, who created several chances before breaking Enyimba’s resistance.
Further substitutions followed in the 87th minute, with Emmanuel Ndubueze and Qamar Adegoke replacing Ibrahim and Ayobami Junior to maintain attacking intensity.
The move paid off as Adegoke struck in stoppage time. “It was important to finish strongly,” Aweroro said, as 3SC sealed a convincing win.
Shooting Stars now sit fourth with 32 points from 20 matches, behind Rivers United, Abia Warriors and Ikorodu City FC on the NPFL table.
