The Zamfara chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Sen. Abdul’aziz Yari over the conferment of the traditional title of Obaloyin of Yoruba land by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem-Owoade.
This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Monday by the State APC Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris.
Idris said the entire APC leadership in the state was proud with the title given to one of its leaders and former Governor of the state, Yari.
He said the revered honour could not have come at a better time than now when Nigeria was showing its best leaders to the rest of the world.
“The mammoth crowd that trooped to the city of Ibadan from all walks of life to witness the Alaafin of Oyo process the rites of the gracious title is a testimony that Yari received it with eminence and it is most deserving.
“Sen. Abdul-Aziz is among the respected leaders in Zamfara because of his honesty, sincerity and total devotion to Allah’s commandments and his philanthropic gesture to the people of Zamfara and beyond.
“This is one of the reasons we ask God, Almighty to continue to elevate him in all his human endeavors,” Idris explained.
According to him, the APC in Zamfara is proud of him and appreciates his role in standing firm for the success of the party .
“We are therefore using the APC machinery to wish the multi title recipient and bearer of Obaloyin the best as he begins to pilot the affairs of his new office in Yorubaland which has now made him a complete circle title holder in Nigeria.
“May Allah continue to elevate you as you continue to touch the lives of individuals and communities in Zamfara in particular and Nigeria as a whole”, statement added.
