The Lagos State Joint Public Service Negotiating Council (JNC), trade union side, has commended Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for approving 100 per cent end-of-year bonus for public servants in the state.
In a statement on Saturday, JNC Chairman, Mr Domingo Adeleke, also commended Sanwo-Olu for presenting five new cars to outstanding officers.
He described the gestures as landmark milestones which reaffirms the governor’s unwavering dedication to public sector welfare, productivity, and motivation.
According to the statement, the bonus will be paid in two tranches of 50 per cent with the December salary and 50 per cent with the January 2026 salary.
He said that the payment structure reflects a thoughtful response to current economic realities and a deliberate effort to provide financial relief during the festive season and in the New Year.
Adeleke said that the car gifts is a strategic incentive to reward merit, deepen innovation, and reinforce a culture of excellence, accountability, and service delivery across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
“These interventions go beyond routine administrative decisions and represent morale-boosting measures capable of strengthening industrial harmony, loyalty, and performance.
“The development underscores the value of constructive engagement and sustained social dialogue between the Lagos State Government and organised labour,” he said.
Adeleke pledged continued partnership with the current administration to advance policies that will enhance workers’ welfare and improve service outcomes.
He urged all public servants to reciprocate the governor’s gestures with renewed professionalism, commitment, and dedication in service to the people of Lagos State.
