Actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham is making progress in cinemas in spite of her fears over her new movie, ‘Oversabi Aunty’.
Although she has alleged dishonesty on the part of some entities in the distribution chain, the movie has got N382m within the 11 days of release.
The movie distributed by FilmOne Entertainment has continued to draw large audiences nationwide, underscoring its growing appeal and solid performance in cinemas.
In a post shared on its official Instagram page, FilmOne thanked audiences across West Africa for the impressive turnout, describing the film’s box office showing as a major milestone.
“Thank you West Africa,” the distributor said, noting that Oversabi Aunty had crossed N380 million in box office receipts within 11 days, reinforcing its status as one of the top-performing Nollywood releases currently in cinemas.
NAN reports that the film’s sustained performance highlights the strong appetite for locally produced titles and reflects continued cinema traffic across the country.
With its steady momentum, Oversabi Aunty is expected to remain a notable attraction in cinemas nationwide in the coming weeks.
