The Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, has commended lawmaker Stephen Ogundipe for sustaining annual yuletide outreach to constituents in Oshodi-Isolo.
Ojelabi spoke on Wednesday at the festive outreach organised by OMOJ’OMOLO CARES, Ogundipe’s initiative, held at Owoseni Primary School, Oshodi.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that over 1,000 bags of rice and ₦15 million cash were distributed to residents and party faithful.
Represented by Deputy Chairman Mayegun Moshood, Ojelabi urged beneficiaries to view the gesture as APC’s commitment to inclusive governance and unity.
“This initiative reflects our party’s dedication to supporting people at ward and constituency levels,” he said.
Ojelabi said the outreach aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at ensuring no Nigerian goes to bed hungry.
He described Ogundipe as “a dependable bridge between government and the people,” commending his community empowerment efforts.
Ogundipe said the initiative ensured families across Oshodi-Isolo celebrated the season with joy and dignity.
“This is a personal tradition of giving back, regardless of social or economic status.
“It is our joy that everyone celebrates happily. What we did today will ease burdens and spread yuletide goodwill,” he said.
Ogundipe reaffirmed commitment to people-focused programmes, saying the intervention reflected APC’s welfare ideology and the president’s citizen-centred agenda.
Apex Leader in Oshodi-Isolo, popularly called Iya Wonle, praised Ogundipe’s inclusive leadership and ability to unite all groups without discrimination.
“The large turnout shows his wide acceptance and effective collaboration with the council chairman,” she said.
NAN reports the event attracted APC leaders, including Oshodi-Isolo Chairman Saheed Animashaun, Party Secretary Kehinde Adekunle, ward chairmen and stakeholders.
