The Ondo Elders’ Movement for Tinubu in 2027 says the various reforms being carried out by President Bola Tinubu are for the betterment of the country.

Speaking during meeting with trade unions on Tuesday in Akure, Otunba Agboola Kelly, the Coordinator of the movement, said that Nigerians have begun to enjoy the positive effects of the reforms.

“This meeting aims to achieve participation of all trade unions, associations in the politics of APC in Ondo State because for a long time, many people have been side-lined and they are not happy.

“So, we are trying to rekindle their interest, for its only when they are happy and their interest is given that we can be sure of bulk votes for Tinubu in Ondo State.

“These group are many and they have great influence on generality of propel in the state.

“Tinubu’s reforms are to make us better. Awolowo tried it he could not succeed, and MKO tried it but couldn’t. The Tinubu’s reforms are the best thing happening in this country.

“This is the new hope and everybody is enjoying it. Changes are being felt.

“You can get your passport without difficulty; prices are coming down while farmers are happy because of Tinubu’s programmes in agriculture,” he stated.

He said that the elders’ movement was to work with other stakeholders and have a formidable APC in the state.

He commended the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for achieving the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President and for remodelling the party in the state.

He described the minister as a big asset to the Tinubu’s administration.

Kelly said that Nigeria was being known in the comity of nations because of ongoing reforms.

The coordinator noted that the movement was to revive the party in every local government, stating that APC must be led by people with interest of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Also speaking, a leader of the Hausa Community in Akure, Alhaji Bala Umar, said that there was need for continuity for Tinubu to complement on his achievements.

Umar added that Tinubu, who strongly supported late President Muhammadu Buhari for eight years, should be given unflinching support.

According to him, the resolve of entire Nigerians to support Tinubu will yield more bountiful gains.
