Sen. Jarigbe Agom-Jarigbe has expressed his commitment to promote the growth of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River and the country at large.
Agom-Jarigbe, who recently defected to the APC from the Peoples Democratic Party, made the expression while meeting with some APC stakeholders in Calabar on Thursday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that, Agom-Jarigbe who represents Cross River North in the National Assembly, is currently consulting with critical political stakeholders in the state.
He said that the meetings were aimed to harmonise interests, foster understanding, and give stakeholders a sense of belonging.
The senator said that his move to APC was to support the re-election bids of President Bola Tinubu and that of Gov. Bassey Otu.
Speaking at the meeting, the Speaker, Cross River House of Assembly, Mr Albert Ayambem, welcomed the senator to the party.
Ayambem said that the ongoing consultations by the senator would build a united front anchored on peace, love, and unity for the party.
