The Zamfara chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended one of its members and former Special Adviser to the former Governor, Bello Matawalle, Anas Kaura, for extending welfare packages to the members of the party in the state.
The State APC Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris, made the commendation in a statement issued in Gusau on Thursday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Kaura was the Special Adviser to Matawalle on Zamfara Urban and Regional Planning Board (ZUREPB).
Kaura had recently distributed various welfare packages to APC loyalists in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of the state.
“The event for the distribution of welfare to various categories of APC members in Kaura Namoda town was witnessed by the State Party Chairman, Tukur Danfulani.
“During the event, Hon. Anas Kaura donated five cars and motorcycles to deserving members of our great party.
“He also gave out sewing and grinding machines as well as plots of land to various beneficiaries among the APC members,” Idris said.
The APC chieftain also distributed N30 million cash to small and medium scale traders and also laid a foundation for the construction of an Islamiyya School, which he promised to complete soon.
Speaking at the event, the state APC Chairman, Tukur Danfulani, who was represented by the Secretary of the party, Ibrahim Dangaladima, thanked the donor.
He called on other well to do members of the society especially from the party to emulate him.
Danfulani also commended leaders of the party especially former Governors Bello Matawalle and Sen. Abdulaziz Yari for their kind support to the party
