The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), on Monday, felicitated the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, on his birthday and ninth coronation anniversary.
The hospital gave the felicitation in a statement issued by its Chief Medical Director (CMD), Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, and made available to newsmen in Benin.
She described the Oba as “a symbol of peace, wisdom, and cultural pride”, whose reign continues to inspire unity and development in Edo state and beyond.
“On behalf of the management and staff of UBTH, we pray for God’s continued grace, good health, and long life for His Royal Majesty,” she said
Ize-Iyamu commended the Oba for his exemplary leadership, adding that his contributions to the progress and harmony of the benin kingdom, cannot be forgotten.
She assured of the hospital’s continued support for the palace, in promoting the health and well-being of Edo people.
