The Public Complaints Commission (PCC) in Zamfara, says it has treated 370 public and private cases in the state from Jan. 2024 till date.
Mr Ibrahim Mainasara, the State Director of the Commission, made the disclosure in Gusau on Thursday at an event to mark the PCC @50 anniversary.
“In about two years, we have treated 370 cases in Zamfara, including public and private, that involved males and females out of which only six cases were not resolved.
“We have settled various cases including worker’s salary, pensions and contract issues, marriage and community disputes and have resolved almost all of them.
“Today, we are marking the 50 years anniversary of the existence of PCC in Nigeria and 29 years of its establishment Zamfara,” he said.
Mainasara noted that PCC is an institution saddled with the responsibility of settling issues amicably and ensuring administration of justice among members of the public.
“To achieve our constitutional mandate, we have to work in synergy with all stakeholders.
“Therefore, citizens must understand the importance of the commission, especially the way it promotes peace, stability and understanding among members of the general public,” he said.
The director added that the commission was collaborating with the media to raise public awareness and understanding about its activities.
