Bincike International, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), says it will empower 400 victims of conflict under a new initiative starting in Kaduna and Katsina states.

This was contained in a statement issued by the organisation’s Project Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer, Mr Sunday Atani, on Thursday in Abuja.

Atani said the initiative is known as the Economic Mobilisation for Peace, Opportunity, Women’s Empowerment and Resilience – Strengthen Peace and Resilience in Nigeria (EMPOWER-SPRiNG) project.

He explained that it aims to promote peace, opportunity, and resilience in conflict-affected communities.

He said the project’s inception meeting brought together key stakeholders to share insights, forge partnerships, and mobilize support for effective implementation.

“The EMPOWER-SPRiNG project is poised to drive transformative change in communities and promote peace, opportunity, and resilience,” he said.

Atani explained that the project is funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and implemented by Tetra Tech International Development.

He added that Bincike International will work closely with partners and stakeholders to achieve the project’s objectives and create a brighter future for the people of both states
