Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola has assured his daughter, Temi, that the man he just married, Mr Eazi, is a great guy.
This is as he advised her to always succumb to him as the head of the home.
In a video showing Otedola speaking at the wedding reception, he praised the couple’s love and entrepreneurial spirit, describing their union as “made in heaven.”
Otedola urged Temi to prioritise the marriage, advising her to “succumb to the whims and caprices of your husband.”
He also commended Mr. Eazi, noting his entrepreneurial skills and predicting a bright future for the couple.
“You found a great guy, very great guy, blessed guy. He’s come from a very decent family. One thing I’ll advise you… you have to succumb to the whims and caprices of your husband. Okay? He’s your husband, he’s your boss. There’s no more dad, don’t call me up,” Otedola said.
He continued: “One thing I like about both of you and I’ve observed is, you’re truly in love with each other. Truly, truly in love with each other. Temi is an entrepreneur. Tosin is an entrepreneur. So you match each other.
“This is made in heaven. For Tosin, you’re going to go places. I’ve seen the entrepreneurial skill in you. When we were much younger, we used to think we used to hustle, but not like your generation. You are hustlers, real hustlers. And it’s always paid off. Continue to love, Temi.”
Otedola further counseled the newlyweds to handle disagreements privately, emphasising the importance of keeping marital issues within the confines of their relationship.
“When you have issues, problems, just keep it within yourself. Never call any friend that have this problem. Just keep it within your walls. And God will bless you and bless your marriage”, he said.
He presented a gift to the couple and offering words of encouragement, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
“I thought of what should I give this couple as a present. I thought, I’ve splintered my savings account. I brought my gift. This gift I present to you. You go out to the world. You’re both entrepreneurs. Out-think, out-manoeuvre, and out-spend. You’ll be great people. This is my gift for you.
“I thank you all and I wish you safe travels back to various places you’ve come from. God bless you all. I love you all”, he added.
The wedding celebrations were a grand affair, spanning three countries: Monaco, Dubai, and Iceland.
Following the wedding, Temi updated her surname to Ajibade on social media, sparking a debate about the tradition of women adopting their husband’s surname after marriage.
