The police on Tuesday arraigned two men, Daniel Elo, 29, and Gabriel Dickson, 63, before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan over the alleged theft of a container panel.
The duo, whose residential addresses were not disclosed, are facing charges of conspiracy and theft, to which they pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp Femi Omilana, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on Sept. 13 at about 4:00 p.m. at Unicorn Company, located in Odo-Ona, Ibadan.
Omilana alleged that the two men conspired to steal a container panel valued at N450,000, property of Unicorn Company.
He said the offence contravened Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
Magistrate Adebola Adeola granted the defendants bail in the sum of N500,000 each, with two sureties each in like sum.
She adjourned the case until Oct. 17 for hearing.
