Destiny awaits the former Governor of Oyo State, Oba/Senator Rashidi Ladoja, on September 26 as he will be crowned the 44th Ibadan of Ibadanland.

This will be his biggest dream come true probably since he controversially left office as governor.

‘The Punch’ on Wednesday quoted Ladoja’s media aide, Adeola Oloko, as confirming the day.

“Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025.

“The ceremony is billed for the ancient Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the state capital.

It will be recalled that Ladoja had, on Tuesday, met with the kingmakers at his residence.

Upon installation, all eyes will be on Ladoja as he is the first former governor to be on the stool.

He is also known to be relatively more agile than his last two  predecessors, especially the last, the late Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.

Based on this, his experience, wealth and connection, therefore, Ibadanland will be expected to witness more positive change.
