Shake Body singer, Skales, has revisited how a prayer point he made at Canaanland Church’s popular programme, Shiloh, made all the difference in his career.
He said it was the genesis of Shake Body, which recently streamed back to limelight after Barcelona star Lamine Yamal danced to it on TikTok.
In a post on X,Scales recalled a defining moment in 2013 when fellow singer Timaya took him to a Shiloh event, where attendees were asked to write down seven prayer requests.
He said one of his prayers was for his music to reach a global audience, expressing hope that it would take him “to the ends of the world seven times.”
Looking back today, he said that prayer is gradually being fulfilled, citing the continued global success of his hit song Shake Body.
He expressed deep gratitude to God, noting that the impact of the track has far exceeded his expectations.
The song gained renewed popularity after Yamal danced to it in a TikTok video, which garnered over 13.5 million views.
This exposure helped Skales cross 1 million Spotify monthly listeners.
