He listed their names as Abdulrahman Tijani, 26, from Ankpa, Kogi, a staff member of the Tony Group of Companies in Edo, and Musa Zakari, 24, from Kogi, a motor boy.
Others included Ojo Joseph, 29, from Adogo, Kogi, and Mohammed Musa, 25, from Ajaokuta, Kogi.
“The suspects were caught with a yellow Howo truck, with Reg. No. LKJ 370 XJ.
“During interrogation, Tijani confessed that he drove the said truck, which was under his care as a driver of the company, to Kaduna Road to sell,” Abiodun stated.
He added that both Joseph and Musa were mechanics and that Tijani hired them to accompany him in case the vehicle developed a problem on the way.
The PPRO explained that the company had since been contacted and confirmed with proof of ownership of the vehicle.
“The case will soon be transferred to SCID for further investigation,” he added.
He further stated that the command arrested two suspects for alleged vandalism in Minna.
He noted that on Aug. 17, at about 3.30 pm, two people were sighted with some suspected vandalized iron around a hotel under construction along Hilltop Road, Minna.
He stated that based on the development, operatives from ‘B’ Div., Minna, moved to the scene and caught two suspects, including Zubairu Bello and Sulaiman Yusuf of Brighter Area, Minna.
He said that during interrogation, Bello claimed to be the security guard of the facility and that he was taking the iron to his house for safekeeping.
Abiodun said that both suspects were still undergoing investigation.
