There was excitement at the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu Ode on August 11 when the National Youths Service Corps members serving at the institution launched an Acronym Poem in celebration TASUED.

The poetic tribute was launched at the Students Affairs division of the university.

According to the initiator, on the project were Olatunbosun Kehinde Oluwatomi, Oyelami Oluwalonimi Peace, Awudja Elizabeth Funmilayo, Muyideen Kamal Olanrewaju, Bello Abdulbasit Abiola, Olatunbosun Basirat Adedolapo, Aderinkola Adeola Rebecca, Aderemi Khadijat Oluwapelumi, Ogunbowale Oluwabukola Anuoluwa, Olakanle Kolade Richard, Godservant Gift Eleojo, Akinwande-Ajose Aaron Olayinka, Abayomi-Rufai Opeoluwa Modupeoluwa, Abdulrasaq Ayisat Busola, Adeniran Karimat Adebukola, Afelumo Faith Rolake, Amoo Deborah Oluwatimilehin and Adewole Shakirah Adebola.

Dr. Balogun, the Dean of Student Affairs, alongside Mr Kalejaiye, Mr Oshokoya, Mrs Adelekun, Alhaji Lawal, Mr. Adeiga, Mr. Ayodeji Oyenuga, Mr Tokunbo Ojo, Mr Stephen Ayinmode and many others appreciated the efforts of the corps members.

This is as the ‘corpers’ also expressed gratitude to the TASUED officials as well as Dr Mustapha Bello, Mr Lasisi Akeem and Ustaz Yaqup Arojojoye for financially supporting the project.

According to Ajakaye, the Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Balogun, ensured the project was perfectly executed and presented on that particular day.

“The CLO stated that the Acronym Poem would clearly project the distinguishing values that the institution stands for and serve as a check on staff and student dynamics,” she said.

Balogun appreciated the project and encouraged the corps members to keep up the good work, adding that Ajakaye had left an indelible mark on the great institution.

The acrostic poem, printed on a banner and displayed at the institution’s Students Affairs Unit, is a testament to the  youth corps members’ creativity and appreciation for TASUED’s operations.

The poem highlights the university’s qualities and attributes, showcasing its essence.
