“Even as funds are being made available for research works that benefits humanity, this friendly government, should do more for lecturers.
“This profession is a call to duty, which entails bringing up youthful reasoning into adulthood.
”It is a job that demands accountability before our maker, on what we thought our students,” he said.
Ubaorji called on the Federal Government to listen to criticism and advice on ways of moving the sector to greater heights.
“I am of the opinion that for the rancors generated by the Earned Academic Allowance given to various universities to end, government should add it to all staff salaries.
“The Federal Government should do more by prioritising educational events, for the quality of graduates produced for this nation.
”Thus will translate to accelerated national development,” he said.
