The Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area, Mr Shedrack Azubuike, has kicked off a door-to-door campaign to mobilise grassroots support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election.
Azubuike, who led the campaign on Friday, said the initiative was aimed at ensuring Soludo’s victory in the November 8 governorship election.
He noted that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) values grassroots engagement as a key strategy for the success of the governor’s second-term bid.
According to him, Anambra State has experienced the transformational leadership of Gov. Soludo over the past three years.
“Soludo deserves our support to consolidate. He carried out numerous development projects across the state for the benefit of the residents.
“We are going from door-to-door telling our people that a vote for Soludo is a vote for continuity and good governance.
“We are assuring the people that if the governor is re-elected, he will continue to deliver more dividends of democracy.
“So, we are urging residents in Anambra to come out en masse on Nov. 8 and vote for the victory of Soludo,” he said.
Azubuike stated that Orumba South LGA had greatly benefited from Soludo’s administration through the construction of roads and rehabilitation of schools and health facilities.
