The Kebbi State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Alhaji Garba Hassan-Warra as a Commissioner and member of the State Executive Council.
Hassan-Warra, a former Chairman of Ngaski Local Government Area, was screened and confirmed by lawmakers during Wednesday’s plenary session in Birnin Kebbi.
The confirmation of the nominee followed Gov. Nasir Idris’ request presented to the assembly by the Speaker, Alhaji Muhammad Usman-Zuru.
NAN reports the nominee, who was also the former Special Adviser on Solid Minerals to former Gov. Atiku Bagudu, was confirmed after introducing himself and responding to some questions by the lawmakers during the sitting of the Committee of the Whole, and chaired by the speaker.
