About two days after online critic, VeryDarkMan, said he wished it was the Nigerian leader who died instead of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has cautioned against hate.
She urged Nigerians not allow hate override humanity.
The VDM’s declaration in a video had sparked controversy, with many people negatively criticising him for his position.
In a post on Instagram, Badmus expressed her disappointment and emphasised that no matter one’s political views, wishing harm or death on others is unacceptable.
She stressed that Nigerians should strive for better and pursue change through peaceful means, such as dialogue, truth, and unity.
Badmus urged citizens to choose decency over division, highlighting the importance of maintaining humanity and respect in political discourse.
According to her, Nigerians are capable of more and should not let hate override their humanity.
