The proprietor of Future Stars Nursery and Primary School in Ilorin, Mr Idowu Festus, has called on teachers to embrace Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to improve their teaching methods.
Speaking in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday, Festus emphasized the need for educators to transition from analog to digital techniques in the classroom.
He encouraged teachers to invest in ICT training to enhance their research, boost efficiency, and meet global educational standards.
“Every teacher must see ICT as compulsory. It is no longer optional, as the world is now becoming a global village,” he said.
He also stressed that for Nigerian students to compete on the international stage, there was a need for a total ICT revolution in the country.
The proprietor, however, called on education stakeholders and the government to empower teachers with ICT skills for effective performance.
