Popular filmmaker, Omoni Oboli, has identified three ideals a woman should look for in a man before marrying him.
Oboli is one of the Nollywood stars whose marriages have endured.
She is blessed with a loving husband, Nnamdi, with wonderful children.
According to her, it is important for the man to be ready to support the women’s dream, support her goals and be kind to her.
She says in an interview: “The first thing I would say is marry someone who believes in your dreams and your goals because if you don’t, that would really derail you in terms of your career. Marry someone who’s kind, you know. It’s not about how much money a man has or how many gifts he’s giving you or how many trips he’s taking you on. Is he a kind person? Because if he’s not kind, you’re really going to suffer later, you know. So you have to be very sure that, first of all, this man is going to support my dreams, he’s going to support my goals, and he’s a kind man. I think if you get those two things right, pretty much everything else will fall in place.”
